High bail for four men charged with making threats

I feel like this story is missing something. Ronald Agosto, 24, Sotirius Haralampidis, 25, Klaus Jaeschke, 25, all of North Bergen, and Mario Guidz Cabassa, 33, of West New York have been charged with making terroristic threats, a third degree offense. If they have no record, they should get probation. Nevertheless, they were all being held in lieu of $100,000 each at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River which is a ridiculous bail; again, unless I am missing something.
The whole case is just that the four men allegedly followed an arcade worker out of the arcade and down the street, voicing threats and making threatening hand gestures. That is it. Most of the time, you can assault someone and get a bail lower than $5o,ooo. Hopefully, all four men will get good attorneys right away to file a bail motion.

Okay, I know the arcade worker that was harrassed. Basically, one of the men got arrested a week prior for passing off counterfeit money to the arcade worker. He reported him and the thug was arrested. On Memorial Day, these guys showed up with the man who was arrested and began to follow the worker around the arcade and shouted gun noises at him. Usually, those gun noises mean that they’re going to kill you. To me, that is just cause as a terroristic threat and could probably be charged with tampering with a witness to a federal crime of counterfeit money.

Thanks for the comment. While I can’t verify your position,it does make a lot of sense and would validate my initial thought that there was a key point to this that was missing.

Well what proof did the arcade worker have that they were making threating noises and gun noises. It’s basically his word against theirs. But mind you it’s 4 hispanic men from outside of that particular county. Yes probably one of them men got arrested for letting police know about counterfeit money, but what proof does he have that all those men where there to scare. Obviously he recognized they guy and called the cops thinking that they guys were there to do something to them. As far as i know Ocean COunty is a touristy area cause of it’s beaches. Look at the weekend they were there. Would you honestly think they’d be so stupid to try and threaten someone on one of the most highly police active weekends of there year. Come on people. This is a simple case of a white arcade working scared shitless cause he know he snitched on someone and calling the cops on 4 hispanic people.

THEY KNEW HE WAS A SNITCH AND HAD PREVIOUSLY CALLED THE COPS SO WHY WOULD THEY RISK THAT AGAIN. LOL THIS ARCADE WORKER DEF JUST SAW THE PERSON WHOM HE HAD ARRESTED, WITH A FEW PEOPLE AND GOT SCARED & CALLED THE COPS. MY FIANCEE AND I WENT DOWN THERE WITH HIS FRIENDS TO ENJOY THE START OF THE SUMMER ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, HE WOULD NEVER START ANY KIND OF PROBLEMS WITH ME IN HIS PRESENCE.. & THERE WERE COPS EVERYWHERE THEY AREN’T STUPID. BUT ANYWAYS WHEN WE SAW THE ARCADE WORKER HE FOLLOWED US DOWN THE BOARDWALK TO I GUESS KEEP COPS UPDATED ON WHICH DIRECTION AND WHERE WE WERE HEADING. WE THEN WALKED OFF THE BOARDWALK AND DOWN A SIDE STREET BECAUSE WE DIDN’T WANT ANY PROBLEMS AND SURE ENOUGH COPS STOPPED US ON THE NEXT CORNER. & THEY WERE THEN ARRESTED.. SEASIDE HEIGHTS COPS R VERY RACIST. THESE MEN R GOOD KIDS, N R VERY INNOCENT . JUST BECUZ THEY WORE BAGGY JEANS/SHORTS AND HATS DOESN’T MEAN THEY R CRIMINALS. I WAS AN EYEWITNESS SO ANYTHING ELSE BEING SAID IS UNTRUE.
