2C:12-3. Terroristic threats

a. A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he threatens to commit any crime of violence with the purpose to terrorize another or to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation, or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience.

b. A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he threatens to kill another with the purpose to put him in imminent fear of death under circumstances reasonably causing the victim to believe the immediacy of the threat and the likelihood that it will be carried out.

    i do not no what to do this kid is an explorer,(it means hes a 16 year old kid that works with the cops) and i jokenly told him that if he ever pulled me over i would shoot him and he took it serious and now i have to appear be fore to court in woodbury i just want to know what i should say and whats will prabley happen.

      You’ll have to get an attorney at some point. Due to the seriousness of the charges, the judge may force you to get one. So, there is no reason to way. Get one now.
