Client avoids jail time in Ocean County violation of restraining order case
We worked out another great deal today. In this case, our client was facing two contempt charges for violating a restraining order. In the first case, he went to the victim’s house after he was verbally advised of the restraining order. He was then arrested. The next day he texted the victim several times which then resulted in yet another violation of the restraining order and thus, yet another arrest. The big concern here is that he had a criminal record and was thus looking at six months in jail if convicted.
Luckily, the client hired our team of tough, smart, Ocean County Criminal Defense Lawyers to help him. We were able to get one of the charges dismissed and make sure that he didn’t spent one day in jail. Other than $125 fine, he will suffer no real consequences as a result of the plea.
